Uninstalling Kleio
What happens to your data when you uninstall, and what reinstalling brings back.
We delete your data when you uninstall
The moment you uninstall Kleio from Shopify, we permanently delete everything we stored for your store: synced orders and products, your costs, integrations, settings, and ad spend history. It’s gone right away, not archived or switched off in the background.
We do this on purpose. If you’re not using Kleio, we shouldn’t be holding your data. Some apps keep it and just disable your access, so your numbers sit on their servers indefinitely. We don’t think that’s right.
There’s no way to restore it
Because the data is actually deleted, reinstalling starts you from scratch. Your costs, integrations, and settings can’t be recovered and have to be set up again.
Note: Anything Kleio wrote into your Shopify store, like metafields or price changes, stays in Shopify and isn’t affected by uninstalling. But Kleio keeps no record of it afterward, so it can’t restore or manage those for you.
Just changing who has access?
If you’re uninstalling only to adjust collaborator access, manage staff and permissions directly in Shopify instead. That keeps Kleio running and your setup intact.
